A Huge Blessing...

...is my husband Jason. I am posting this with the chance of coming off cheese-y, but I am going to take that chance. He is sosososo busy, as most husbands are! But, he always finds time for me and the kids and to get his "honey-do" list completed. He is our very own "SUPER HERO"-except, if you ask Jameson he might say "no, he isn't a superhero, because he can't fly" (but that might be one of the only things he can't do!)
Pre-blogging days, a few months ago, Jason gradauated with one of two master's degrees he began when we were pregnant with Meran (so 7 1/2 years ago). His second degree, in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling, will be completed in the Spring of 2010.

Why has it taken so long? Some might be wondering.
Let's see, in the past seven years, Jason has:
~Moved and remodeled a home,
~Had a total of 3 children
~Moved to a new role at work as Pastor of Student Ministries
~Began a new ministry for the 20-30 age group, that the Lord put on his heart
~Expanded his clothing design company
~Began Counseling (couples and students)

...just to name a few, along with coaching soccer, participating in all school events for Meran and being present as a husband and father!
I am so thankful for my husband! Truly he is a gift from the Lord!

He is the example of Ephesians 5:25
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.."

Congratulations Jason! We are so proud of you and love you so much!

13 Months Already!

Our Little Sutty-Buddy turned 13 months on Sunday, July 5th.

He is growing big and sturdy (as little boys should be!) & easily weaning...which I am feeling more sad about than he. If this makes me a little nostalgic I can only imagine what it will be like to watch him graduate, or worse, leave him at college, or wait, even worse...get married!

But, I know that my very important job as his mother will not have been done well if Jason and I do not successfully get him to these milestones. So I will be a big girl and not cry~and contently rock him and give him a sippy cup of "cow's milk", not mother's!

Fun on the 4th!

Celebrating our Freedom with Friends

We spent the 4th of July at the beautiful country home of our very hospitable friends, Eric and Christine DeHaan. We spent the afternoon swimming, talking and eating (or shall I say "feasting"). At dusk, the kids lit sparklers and received their glow-in-the-dark necklaces, for safety (great idea Darlene)~so we could always see where they were. Once it was dark, after settling into our chairs with LOTS of dessert (Robyn's cobbler, Darlene's cupcakes and Karin's krispy-treats just to name a few) we were treated to a sparkley, noisey feast for our senses! Eric and some of the other guys have concocted some homemade devices that make the legal "works" a bit more show-y and exciting.

We went to the Hume Lake Cabin a few weeks ago. This is a picture of Jameson sitting in the back of Uncle Eric's Jeep~which Jameson thinks is the coolest! His face says it all...
