Father's Day 2010

We celebrated out FAVORITE daddy by taking him to his favorite place for lunch.
After church we piled in the car and drove 45 minutes to Fresno to the DogHouse Grill.
It is Jason's favorite. We ate our food ( I do have to say I truly enjoy the Tri-tip Salad & fries there!) while catching a glimpse of every sporting event that was on television. (there are big screen around the whole perimeter of the place)
Afterwards we cruised some of our favorite stores...really we were just waiting to get hungry again so we could go for Frozen Yogurt, another of Jason's favorites.
When we came back home Jason opened his gifts & treasures from the kids.
It was a relaxing and family-filled day.
We appreciate him so much! Really could not ask for a better friend, father, husband, coach, mentor, playmate, provider, spiritual leader than Jason!

Happy Birthday Dear Sutty...Happy Birthday to You!

We took him to pick out a donut

He opened gifts

Loved his tunnel from Grandma & Grandpa Lozano

He blew out his candles on a cookie

I hold down his hands just incase he didn't remember how bad it hurts to touch something hot!

Sutton is 2. Where did the time go? My very wise 8 year old daughter said a few weeks ago,"why does time go faster as you get older?"
Sad that she is noticing this during her 8th year!
Pure truth though. I can remember hanging out in the hospital room with our newest, like it was last week. When Jameson came into the room to see his new brother he asked in a sweet, just-turned-3-years-old voice, "why he have a party hat on?" (meaning Sutton's knit beanie they put on newborns at the hospital.)
Sutton has covered much ground since he has been here...traveled, learned new things, made new friends, got lots of new teeth, tried lots of new foods, and been to the ER twice! (his hand is healing remarkably fast, by the way). I am so thankful that God gave us Sutton...he keeps us on our toes.

ER Trip #2...on His Birthday!!!

Cheetos are like Tylenol...they ease the pain

After 2 hours of crying he starts to be "Sutty" again.

We asked him where his boo-boo was and he pointed to his scar from his stitches.

My brave boy

I am too exhausted to blog about his day...but, today my sweet, wild, mischievous boy turned 2 years old! And to top off his good day, he did a bad thing~he touched the exhaust pipe of my dad's Bronco and received a 2nd degree burn on his left hand. I think this was WORSE than the stitches he received just 5 1/2 weeks ago. We took him to the Walk-in and they sent us to the ER at Children's Hospital. We will visit our pediatrician on Monday and she will refer us to a Burn Clinic if she sees fit. No way to spend a Birthday, that is for sure! I'll blog the fun part of his day after I have recovered from the trauma of watching him in pain! I would rather give birth again with no pain meds than have him feel the pain of a burn!!!!

Disneyland #2

Even though he looks bewildered, Sutton loved the Pooh Bear ride!

Meran's first time on Big Thunder

It's a Small World!

Enjoying Dinner at Naples in Downtown Disney

Happy to be Riding a "Choo-choo"

Our Little Goofy

"N" is for Neese

We visited CA Adventure & Disneyland with mom and dad. For some reason Disneyland seems more magical at night. Sutton finally got to ride on Winnie-the-Pooh (since he was asleep when we went a few days ago). I knew he would love it! It was Meran's favorite at this age. And, just like sister, he wanted to ride it several times in a row...4 to be exact!
It is hard to say no to his "Mow"

Meran's 8th BirthDAY

A Pedicure & Manicure

Pizza Lunch

Lounging by the Pool

The DQ Cake that she picked out

Birthday Presents

Blowing out 8 Candles

It is a little difficult for me to remember Meran's birth 8 years ago. But, i do remember a few things. Like, the Lakers game was on when I went into Labor. This kept Jason busy atleast.
I had brought the "new baby" a green and white gown to wear, since we kept the gender a surprise..."I will bring a girl or boy home in green & white gown" I told myself.
Yeah, right! Who has a little girl and doesn't want to deck her out in head to toe pink-just to shout to the world "I have a baby girl".
We were so much thinking that we were going to have a boy that when the midwife pulled Meran out she said, "Dad, what do we have?" and Jason said "it's a boy" and then the midwife said "no, it is a girl". He had been looking at the umbilical cord.

Now that we have Meran, our girl, I can't imagine life without her. She is kind, helpful, joyful and friendly. When you have a baby you sometimes think, this phase is so fun, babies are so cute and hope that they never grow up. But, I can attest that each year I just enjoy Meran more. I learn from her and we grow together...God uses our children to help stretch us into the person we are created to be.

Disneyland

Merry-go-round
Eating lunch at Rainforest Cafe

Buzz Lightyear Ride

The Mouseketeers

Meran & Kayla on The Storybook Ride

Jameson & Kenna...2 peas in a pod
For the 2nd year in row we kicked-off the summer with a trip to Disneyland with our friends, the Saltzmans. We spent the whole day at the park and had lunch at downtown Disney at The Rainforest Cafe. The kids have so much fun going on the rides together...having someone to talk to and play with makes the lines not seem so long!
The 4 big kids went on the Matterhorn together...which is crazy to me that they are old enough to ride on the "fast rides". Meran loves it so much that she wants to try it ALL by herself (I guess it isn't enough to ride it with Kayla)!
We ended the day with the Fireworks Show, complete with Tinker Bell & Dumbo "flying" in front of the castle...something I haven't done since I was a kid.
