Water Baby

Meran and I had a good laugh the other night. Bellen loves her bath...and she did NOT want to get out on this particular evening!

The View From Here

The way you view something has alot, or sometimes, everything, with how you interpret it. This has been a lesson that I have been learning the past few weeks. Today, on my walk, I noticed how the airplanes fly directly over the peaceful bay. It is noisy, yes, but it is very cool to be able to watch something so big and powerful fly right over your head. This could be a nuisance or a moment of awe. It is all your perspective.

My perspective becomes so much clearer when I am in the word. Keeping my eyes fixed on God. A struggle, daily. But so worth the peace and perspective I gain from the view He gives me!

Do not fret...
Commit your ways to the Lord; trust in him...
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
Psalm 37:1a,5a,7a

Sunday Afternoon

I love Sunday afternoons! They are so relaxing.
I baked cookies for school lunches.
Jason took the boys swimming at "our" pool. (the hotel pool just down the street:)
Meran decided to craft outside and Bellen just cruised around & watched big sis from the window.
Meran was making something for Bellen

Wishing she were outside with Sissy

This picture isn't flattering(note the double chin) but hilarious just the same...
she did not like me getting in her way to take a picture of her

An Afternoon in La Jolla

in the La Jolla caves...pretending they are spies

viewing the seals

I had a doctor's appointment today in La Jolla and the kids were on their last day of spring break...so after hanging out at Moores Cancer Center for an hour, we rewarded the kids with lunch at Islands and a trip to see the seals. The weather was sunny & breezy...days like this make me ready for the carefree, don't-have-to-be-anywhere days of summer!

He Is Risen!

It was our first San Diego Easter! We spent Saturday with my parents, who came down for a visit. On Sunday, we went to church, came home and did easter baskets, then had lunch at the home of some friends from church. I let my kids eat lots and lots of candy and enjoyed the beautiful day. We are SO thankful, more than ever, that Christ has risen for us and that He loves us!

"Fun" Dad

Jason can be described by many words, but in the eyes of his children, fun, is one of the most prominent!
This week, besides the Wild Animal Park, he also took them camping at Imperial Beach(joining the youth group from our church at their winter camp) and the Padres vs. Dodgers Opening Season Game at Petco Park. He has made life seem so normal and fun to our children (and me) during this journey we are on! We are SO thankful for him.

My kids go just to eat...that is why I go to the game!

Wild Animal Park Adventure

Jason has been doing a great job at keeping the kids busy, having fun, while they are on spring break this week. He received two free tickets to the Wild Animal Park, which we had been wanting to go to.While I enjoyed a very peaceful & restful day at home, Jason took Jameson, Meran & Bellen to the park on Saturday (Sutton was still at Grandma & Grandpa Neese's). Their favorite exhibit was the birds and butterflies & the Tram ride. We will definitely be taking the WHOLE family again soon!
