19 years in the making...

Michelle, Me, Candace, Sarah

Some R&R at the La Costa Spa...

Our College Casa 3111 Carleton St. #D
Our Alma Mater...who wouldn't want to look at this on their way to class!

 We pampered ourselves with pedis...

Revisiting where we would sneak off to, if class was cancelled, or if we decided to "cancel" class...

I wanted so bad to be able to include a picture of the 4 of during those 4 glorious years in this post. But, that was pre-camera/phone & "saving picts on your computer" days...so it might take me awhile to track it down.  We met in the summer of 1993~fresh faced and newly graduated from high school, we made our way to Point Loma Nazarene College (pre University status...hence, how I was able to attend;). Sarah & I met first, as we walked together during freshman orientation, coincidentally, our moms met too during the parents meeting...and the rest is history. Candace & Michelle were put together as roommates just by chance-and took the room next to Sarah & I, in Nease Hall. Or, so it seemed. We know the real truth. God had a plan for us. Just as He does. Working in His creative way. Weaving our lives in a sweet way that cannot be broken by time, distance, or life's challenges. Fast forward 19 years and here we are. Two of the girls flew in...Sarah from Washington & Candace from Montana. Michelle graciously hosted us in her new, lovely home. We soaked up the sun & each other~everything just like it was the last time we were together. And will pick up right where we left off next time!

Wicked

We got to see Alli in Wicked last week. She plays Galinda (with a "gu"). My mother-in-law, 2 of my sister-in-laws, and 3 of my nieces came down to go with us. Alli graciously took us back stage afterwards. Needless to say, it was a treat!

Father's Day

For Father's Day, Jason and his brothers and a few close family friends went on a "guys get-a-way" to Front Sight, a 2 day hand gun training course, in Vegas. Woo-hoo...really exciting;), me personally, I like to get away somewhere beautiful, quiet and calm. Hence, the difference between the genders!
He got back on Sunday afternoon, "refreshed" and "educated", in time for the kids and I to celebrate the wonderful dad that he is!

San Clemente Get Away

We got away for a few days to San Clemente. I have been going there with my family since high school.  The kids broke in their new boogie boards, we took long walks & ate dinner at Fisherman's on the pier...It was overcast and chilly most of the time, but no one seemed to mind. Nothing better than the beach!

Our Pirate is 4...Argh!

Sutton has loved pirates since he was old enough to tell us he loved pirates. He turned 4 Tuesday and on Thursday we had a small pirate-themed party for him. Love this little pirate to pieces!

A decade old

Meran is 10. Sweet, responsible, helpful, caring, determined, joyful, tender-hearted and loves the Lord. We have been so blessed to call her daughter. God is so good. I am not sure when the 10 years passed though! I better not blink or she will be driving. This was the way she wanted to celebrate...

Staycation

Our family had a little Staycation last week. Jason took a few days off and our friends came to town. What a great way to kick off the summer!!! We only paused from having fun to sleep!
